QUEST

CLARITY & COURAGE FOR THE JOURNEY OF FAITH

We live in a culture unanchored from truth.

We have become a distracted people, unfamiliar with focus and the strength it alone can bring.

Many are in need of vision and the courage to live it out.

Set aside some time to focus on God.

Come to a place prepared to guide you on a search for what God wants to do in you and through you.

Lock away your phone, look up at the stars, and be reawakened to the wonder of the journey of faith.

WHO IS VISION QUEST FOR?

  • Young people in need of direction for big decisions or the courage to establish more discipline.

  • Parents seeking wisdom to raise godly children in this culture.

  • Couples building a strong marriage in a busy and distracted lifestyle.

  • Church leaders in need of shaping or holding vision.

  • Older adults wanting to finish well in the midst of change and diminishment.

  • All followers of Jesus that need encouragement to live a life of purpose.

WHAT WE OFFER!

A PLACE

Our ministry is blessed to occupy 200 acres of beautiful mountain land.  There are nearly 5 miles of private trails and roads to enjoy, aspen and pine woods, rock outcroppings, incredible views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and a variety of wildlife and flowers.  Our setting lends itself amazingly to both adventures and solitude.

EXPERIENCES

Sometimes clarity comes when we engage some things that are new, refreshing and creative.  In addition to our invitation to just "spend time on the mountain" you can also engage the following:

  • Help us with a work project - maybe building a trial, helping to create another "quiet destination", repair a deck, cut firewood etc., etc.

  • Make a craft in our shop to take home.  A wood burning, a candle holder, a wooden ring, and a knife kit are all possibilities.

  • You may choose to go on a day hike in the big mountains either on your own or with Dean and Heidi.

  • "On the Mountain" activities can include:

    • Mountain biking

    • Archery

    • Cold tub

    • Climbing wall

    • Disc golf

  • There are also many nearby destinations for a day or half day off the mountain.

TIME WITH US

Dean & Heidi_edited.jpg

Dean & Heidi would look forward to some time with you if needed and/or wanted.  We would love to hear your story, listen to your heart and offer our thoughts to encourage and to guide your journey.

It may involve a cup of coffee, a walk or some "table time".  This is a big part of what we want the new focus of this ministry to include.

Dad (Jay) and mom (Dorothy) requested to not have their picture and bio on the site but for all who know them - they would love to spend some time with you if you visit the mountain.  Their lives are a wonderful witness in so many ways. Their attitudes and wisdom continue to inspire.
