MARCH UPDATE
WE PREPARE FOR GUESTS TO COME TO THE MOUNTAIN
For the first time we now have a year round facility we can offer for guests to come to the mountain. We spent much time and money preparing a place for people to experience the elements of VISON QUEST.

Building a new deck.

Heidi prepares the kitchen

Removing some scrubby trees to open the view.
Here is a short video of the finished product. A welcoming space indeed!

"Our time at Uplift Mountain was truly a gift to our family. Surrounded by God’s breathtaking creation, we found the rest and renewal our hearts so desperately needed. It was a peaceful escape from the heaviness and busyness of everyday life—a place where we could slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be together.

Dean and Heidi made our stay incredibly special. Their hospitality, kindness, love for the Lord and for people, along with their wisdom and prayer, poured life back into our weary hearts. We felt so cared for and welcomed from the moment we arrived.

The apartment was immaculate, decorated beautifully, and felt like a home away from home. And the views—absolutely stunning. We spent our days hiking, climbing, mountain biking, and simply being still in God’s presence. Every moment felt meaningful.

Uplift Mountain has become a deeply special place for our family, and we are so grateful for the memories made there. We will carry them with us for years to come."
~ Hilary Helms
We also welcomed Antonio Chipman as he traveled back from California to North Carolina after a motorcycle accident that would not allow him to work his job climbing wind turbine towers. (Note the temp cast in the picture).

Antonio is an alumni of two summers in the Pursuit program.

His time here was a welcome reset for him. He jumped in helping us build end stands for the lodge and enjoyed some walks, games and good fellowship.
A long-time friend, Mike Landis came for three days of concentrated study, long walks and needed rest. (I didn't get any pictures of Mike). I am deeply grateful for the rich time of sharing and prayer I had with him.
