A BUSY MONTH!
We hosted two large groups for weekend retreats, hosted a family in the apartment, had our annual board meeting and fit in a little elk hunting.
Hosting the J.O.Y. ladies group is an annual highlight for us. They max out our facilities but leave us encouraged as we see their intentional desire to seek God and love each other.

The 4BarS group came for the second year in a row to strengthen and encourage marriages. Their theme was Faith, Family, Freedom. It was refreshing to see 12 couples set aside a weekend to seek God, learn and worship together. They, like so many others enjoyed Heidi's cooking and time in the dining hall.

Pastor Beto from a Denver, Spanish speaking church came for a weekend of renewal. He spent the first night here on his own and then his three kids joined him for the second night. We hope to host him again when his wife can also make it.

BOARD MEETING

From left around the circle: Nick Hargis, Joe Goemaat, Alan Stroud, Dad (Jay), wife Heidi, Dean
The annual board meeting was a great encouragement in so many ways. The 3 men that came for the weekend have been a part of our journey for many, many years. They love the Lord and value the history and future potentials of this ministry.

The last year has affirmed our new vision and direction. We are in a good place as a ministry. We have seen the Lord at work in many ways in many lives. The board directed us to stay the course with purposeful movement in the way of facility improvements and increased exposure to what we offer. ONWARD!
WORK AND PLAY
Took the next step on finishing the deck on our house - literally! Stairs are tricky things! Only the railing left to finish.

WORK BEGINS ON THE LODGE DECK!
OTHER STUFF
I had an elk tag this month - didn't get an elk but enjoyed some good time in the mountains alone and with son Danny that came down from Colorado Springs for a couple of days.

Heidi and I also fit in an outing with Danny and Ivy before Danny starts his job flying for Sky West on November 15. We ascended into snow but the day was good enough for a picnic and some fishing.

WE ARE GRATEFUL
for all who pray, encourage and give to us and this ministry
We hope you will consider a visit to the mountain this fall/winter. The apartment is open and available all year!
